New Delhi: The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) was recently established along with Bangladesh Automobile Assembly Industries Association (BAAMA), Sri Lanka Ceylon Automobile Trade Association (CMTA) and Nepal NADA Automobile Association (NADA). The South Asia Automotive Forum will be held on the sidelines of the Bharat Global Mobility Expo in February 2024. The forum aims to foster cooperation and cooperation between the automotive sectors in the South Asia region. It will serve as a platform for association members to interact regularly, share best practices and collaborate towards common goals for the development of the region’s automotive industry.
Commenting on the establishment of this forum, Mr. Vinod Agarwal, President and Managing Director of SIAM and CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) said: We aim for synergies and mutual growth through close cooperation in this field. The establishment of this forum will further strengthen the ongoing cooperation between the automotive industries of Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India. ”
