Skander Ayari, a seasoned hotelier with over 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, has been appointed Hotel Manager of the landmark property Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. Skander’s career spans over 20 years and spans five countries, from city hotels in the Middle East and Europe to resorts in Africa. He has been with the Four Seasons since 2019.
Born and raised in Tunisia, Skander continued his studies in France and graduated from the Hospitality Management School in Strasbourg. His career began in Hilton’s food and beverage department, where he was promoted to the position of food and beverage manager. He then sought new opportunities and was appointed head of food and beverage at Concorde La Fayette Paris. His third position in Paris was as his Paris food and beverage director at Le Méridien Etoile.
In 2014, Skander and his family moved from outside France to the UAE, where he was appointed EAM of Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi and later joined the Radisson Group as Cluster Hotels EAM. In 2018, Mr. Skander moved to Mauritius and worked as a resort EAM at Shangri-la-le-Tueslok before finding his way to Four Seasons.
In 2019, he returned to the Middle East and began his journey with Four Seasons as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Kuwait at Burj Alshaya. From there, he moved to Four Seasons Cairo at the First Residences in December 2020 and was promoted to Hotel Manager in June 2022.
Mr. Skander’s deep passion for the world of gastronomy and food culture is rooted in France, and as he continued his studies there, he fell in love with the charm of French cuisine. His interest in the culinary world played an important role in his career.
Mr. Skander will pursue operational excellence by providing full support to the team, creating possibilities and opportunities for the team to continuously improve the guest experience. From his perspective, paying attention to detail, following trends, and knowing your guests in order to exceed their expectations are the keys to operational excellence.
Skander is married and has two teenage boys. In his free time, Skander enjoys rolling up his sleeves in the kitchen and delighting his family with specialty pastries, traveling, discovering new gastronomic experiences with his family, and playing golf with friends.
