NEW ULM — A new youth tennis program starting this winter looks like a win-win for kids and parents.
The program is made possible by a $1,500 grant the Parks and Rec Committee received from the United States Tennis Association at Monday’s meeting. Park and Rec Director Joey Schugel said he will cover the initial launch of the program.

At first glance, it seems strange that tennis would be chosen as a winter sports program. Schugel said the company’s robust rec center makes it possible to realize creative ideas like this.
