“You can walk to Holy Angels Church, Regner Park, and downtown,” Jerry said.
The Mehrings had their eye on a third-floor apartment overlooking the Eisenbahn State Trail. “This was the unit we wanted and was on the waiting list. When it came up, they notified us and asked if we were still interested. I like the view. And the space is perfect, so I said absolutely,” Jerry said.

The Mehring family has comfortably housed over 60 years of memorabilia, business records, and collectibles in a spacious three-bedroom unit.
“I was dragging my feet and was very against the transfer,” Nancy said. “We had too much junk to get rid of. Downsizing was the hardest part.
“It gets harder as you get older, but now I’m glad I did it. It’s been kicking and screaming, but I’m really loving it.”
The Mehrings said they were very impressed with Cast Iron’s staff, the safety and cleanliness of the building, the indoor parking, and that they both love the history of Old West Bend.
“Cast Iron used to be West Bend, and my mom and dad worked there, my aunt and uncle worked there, and I worked there while I was in high school,” Nancy said.
“After high school, I worked here for two years to earn money to go to college,” Nancy said. “I have a lot of memories.”
“I believe Cast Iron Luxury Living is the best property in the city of West Bend,” Jerry said.
Luxurious cast iron living room offers residents a truly unique experience with luxury homes and amenities, but that’s not always the case. Located along the scenic Milwaukee River, this historic campus was once home to the West Bend Aluminum Company.
Founded in 1911 by Bernard C. Ziegler, West Bend Company grew to become one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of cookware and kitchen appliances from the 1950s to the early 1990s.
In addition to cooking utensils, the company was contracted by the U.S. military as a major supplier of aluminum products during World War II. Today, this rich past and proud tradition is integrated throughout with modern luxury, making Cast Iron Luxury Living a special place to call home.
