Breeders’ Cup Turf winner Auguste Rodin runs as a 4-year-old horse
Ireland: Double Derby winner Auguste Rodin, last seen touching down on the Breeders’ Cup Turf in a inspired ride by jockey Ryan Moore, will continue to be trained as a 4-year-old in 2024.
The news came as a surprise as it was widely expected that the son of the late Japanese superstar Deep Impact would retire to join the Coolmore stallion roster. Trainer Aidan O’Brien told the PA news agency: “It’s a big decision and we’re obviously very pleased.”

The 4-year-old has run only once in 2023, finishing fifth of six in the G2 at Churchill Downs on the Kentucky Oaks card in May. Announcing his retirement, owner Rick Dawson said he had been sidelined by a series of “nagging injuries.”

Prix Cartier: Arc winner Ace Impact becomes European champion

Buick is bullish on Bahrain’s Nations Pride
Bahrain: Three-time Godolphin Group 1 winner Nations Pride will run in a 14-horse field for Friday’s Bahrain International Trophy. [Nov 17] At Rashid Equestrian & Horse Racing Club.
British champion jockey William Buick has never come close to finishing top seven in his previous three attempts, but the four-year-old is a G2 star and is currently worth $1 million. I think horses are the best opportunity I’ve ever had.

Harry Bentley suspended for two months and heavily fined
Hong Kong: British jockey Harry Bentley, who won six times in Qatar before moving to Hong Kong in April 2021, has been suspended for two months and paid HK$300,000 ($38,500/US$38,500) for misconduct. He was fined £31,000.
Bentley, 31, pleaded guilty after stewards claimed he had “inappropriate communications” with third parties about horses he was riding. However, he stressed that the offenses had “nothing to do with the provision of tips, gambling, gambling, racial match-fixing or the receipt of payments.”Click here for details
