Bahrain’s motorcycle community has come together to take part in the THINKPINK 2023 Ride, an event dedicated to breast cancer awareness.
Riders of diverse nationalities from both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia came together for this worthy cause, wearing pink attire, decorating their bikes with pink accents, and marking the globally recognized symbol of breast cancer. I proudly held up my breast cancer ribbon.
This engaging two-hour event began in the morning at Avenues Mall with over 600 enthusiastic riders revving up their engines. They embarked on a thrilling journey through Bahrain’s picturesque landscapes and even completed several laps around the Bahrain International Circuit.
The event culminated at IKEA Bahrain, where bikers were warmly welcomed and served a hearty breakfast courtesy of IKEA and various vendors who helped raise money for breast cancer awareness.
Roy Ribeira, one of the directors of Transworld IT and a member of the organization Falcon Riders, said: “A woman’s health reflects the health of her family. Especially in breast cancer, early detection plays a key role in saving lives, and it is well known that prevention is better than cure.
We are here to spread the message about early detection of breast cancer and to express our strong support for those who have or are affected by breast cancer. It’s no secret that every 14 seconds a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and with early detection she is 100% curable. ”
October is globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and various health campaigns are carried out to raise awareness about breast cancer.
