MANILA – The Philippine men’s national soccer team will face Bahrain in an international friendly on October 17.
The friendly is part of the Askals’ preparations for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which will be hosted by Bahrain.
The Bahrain team will be led by skipper and keeper Neil Etheridge, veterans Patrick Reichert and Manuel Ott, and naturalized player Bienvenido Maranhão.

The Azkals are scheduled to face Vietnam on November 16 in a joint qualifier for the 26th FIFA World Cup/2027 AFC Asian Cup.
Last September, they defeated Afghanistan 2-1 in a FIFA international friendly match held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
