Fearless and inspirational Semreen Ahmed from Bahrain recently conquered Azerbaijan and Dagestan’s highest peak, Mount Bazarduz, at 4,466 meters above sea level.
The breathtaking Mount Bazarduz is a peak in the Greater Caucasus Mountains on the border of Dagestan, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
Over two incredible days, Bahraini adventurer and guide Rinat embarked on an expedition from the remote region of Quba in Azerbaijan’s Caucasus Mountains, achieving even more amazing results.
“Mount Bazaruduz is not as famous as other mountains, but during the challenge I had the entire mountain to myself and my guide,” Semreen told the Daily Tribune.
With no one else on the mountaintop, leaving your mind alone can be quite frightening, but the blissful and powerful disconnect from nature made it a unique and insightful experience, says Semreen. he said.
Despite being an expert at completing awe-inspiring adventures, Semreen said several challenges arose during the two-day journey.
“I felt slow because I was skipping the acclimatization rotation and covering so much elevation change at once, but I didn’t push myself too hard to avoid getting altitude sickness.”
She also wears crampons (traction devices attached to footwear to increase maneuverability on snow and ice when climbing) while navigating rocky terrain or crossing rivers. , faced further difficulties.
But brave and determined Bahrainis overcame those dangerous challenges and reached the top, clutching tightly to the Bahraini flag.
The meaning behind her expedition is, “For me, mountains are about more than just reaching the top. It’s about testing your limits and witnessing the raw power and beauty of nature,” she says. I did.
“It also allows you to step away from the rat race and materialistic world and appreciate the simpler things in life.”
Among the giants of nature, Ahmed said he is humbled by feeling insignificant at the top.
“It’s really about the sense of accomplishment, personal growth and self-discovery that comes from overcoming challenges and conquering new heights.”
Feeling proud and grateful, she said the best part about achieving new accomplishments is inspiring others to pursue their dreams and conquer their own mountains.
“It’s truly humbling and fulfilling to know that my journey can ignite a spark of motivation in someone else,” said the inspirational adventurer.
In August of this year, Semreen achieved another remarkable milestone: reaching the summit of Europe’s highest mountain, the 5,642-meter-high Mount Elbrus.
