Bahrain’s senior men’s national team has begun a local training program ahead of next week’s upcoming international friendly matches.
Bahrain is preparing to play against Kyrgyzstan tomorrow and the Philippines next Tuesday.
The match is scheduled to be held at the Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium in Muharraq Club, Arad, with kick-off at 7pm.
Teams from Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines have already arrived ahead of the match.
Both visiting national teams will also play a friendly match on Sunday at the Al Ahly Club Stadium in Zini.
Bahrain are using these friendlies as part of their preparations for the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup continental qualifiers next month.
They are also scheduled to participate in the next AFC Asian Cup to be held in Doha next January.
Bahrain coach Juan Antonio Pizzi has started daily training with 33 players called up.
The national team roster includes Ali Madan of Ajman Club in the UAE, Mohamed Marhoun of Kuwait SC in Kuwait, Abdullah Yusuf of FK Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic, and Moses Atedeh of Kedah Darul Aman FC. The team includes four professionals from overseas locations. In Malaysia.
Local talents include Ahmed Bouganmal, Mohamed Adel, Mohamed Al Hadan, Saeed Diya Saeed and Mahdi Humaidan from defending National League champions Al Qardiyah. Hussein Al-Ekri, Hazza Ali, Mohammed Abdul-Qayyum, Jassim Al-Shaikh, Komail Al-Aswad, Ali Hassan Saeed, and Abdulaziz Khaled from Rifa; Mr. Salem Omar, Mr. Saeed Mohammed Jaafar, Mr. Amin Hassan, Mr. Hamza Al Juban, Mr. Waleed Al Hayyam, Mr. Abdullah Al Harasi, Mr. Mubarak Mohammed, Mr. Ahmed Al from Muharraq・Mr. Sheruki. Ebrahim Al Khatar from Manama. Ebrahim Rusfallah and Abdullah Al Hasash of Al Ahly. Hussein Abdulkareem from Isa town. Hamad al-Doseri and Salem Hussein of al-Shabaab. Mohamed Abdulwahab and Ebrahim Al Wali of Al Najma. and Jassim Keraif from East Rifa.
Apart from these upcoming adjustments, the national team is scheduled to play an international friendly against Asian powerhouse Australia in January as part of final preparations for the Asian Cup.
The match will take place in Dubai on January 6, just days before the Continental Showcase begins in Doha on January 12.
In the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Bahrain will play head-to-head in the second of five qualifying rounds.
They are in a competitive Group H with the UAE, Yemen or Sri Lanka, Nepal or Laos. In the AFC Asian Cup, Bahrain are in Group E of the preliminary round along with South Korea, Malaysia and Jordan.
