MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Belarus plans to ship more car parts to Chelyabinsk Oblast, Belarus has learned from Belarus’ Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Kharitonchik.
A Belarusian government delegation led by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko has been on a business trip to the Russian region for the past few days. The Belarusian government leaders visited the Russian city of Ufa on October 10-11, and the city of Chelyabinsk on October 12. The Prime Minister visited the Ural Automobile Plant in Chelyabinsk. Belarus has maintained fruitful cooperation with Russian companies for a long time.

After a delegation from Russia’s Chelyabinsk Oblast visited Belarus, the Ural Automobile Plant was able to meet the demand for Belarusian-made parts. Dmitry Kharitonchik further stated: “The Ural Automobile Plant is a proven partner of ours. We sell components and various spare parts. These are mainly products of the holding company Automotive Components. The volume of deliveries is increasing every year. It will increase systematically within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed by both sides. This agreement expires this year, and a new agreement for the period 2023-2025 has already been signed. This will allow new types of You can start manufacturing your product and increase your shipments. We are projecting a 10-15% increase each year.”
During Roman Golovchenko’s visit to the Ural Automobile Plant, in addition to shipments, the two sides also discussed additional ways and possible projects to advance cooperation. As a positive example, the Prime Minister of Belarus mentioned a project to start manufacturing special vehicles based on the chassis of the Belarusian MAZ company in the Chelyabinsk region.
