Milton Berris scored goals on either side of halftime to pace Greenport (8-8, 8-7) against Southold (3-11-1, boys soccer) in a Suffolk County League IX game. 3-11-1) with a 2-0 victory. The senior forward finished the regular season with a team-high 16 goals and one assist. Bellis ranks fourth on the Suffolk County scoring list. Juan Vivas Flores contributed with an assist, and goalkeeper Kal-El Marin made five saves. Southold goaltender Travis Cepenoski made eight saves. Greenport swept the three-game regular season series, defeating its closest rival 4-0.
The Porters will play Pearson/Bridgehampton (8-8, 8-7) in the Class C county final at Diamond in the Pines in Column on Saturday, Oct. 28, at noon, according to head coach Drukhopolsky. He plans to do so. The winner will play Evergreen Charter, the Nassau County winner of the Long Island Class C Championship, at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Mitchell Athletic Complex in Uniondale.
October. 13: Mattituck 2, Southold 1
Chris Arreola had his second assist of the game for Sean Szczotka with five minutes left in the second overtime period to lead the Tuckers (10-4-2, 1-3-2) to the South on Friday, Oct. 29. He led the team to a 2-1 homecoming victory against Hold. 13. Wesley Secaida gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the first half, but James Cepenoski tied it up in the second half with his fourth goal of the season. Jack Golder recorded one save for Mattituck, while Travis Sepenoski had a busy night with 11 stops.
The Tuckers will play Babylon on Saturday, Oct. 28, in the Class B final in Coram. The winner will advance to the LI Class B championship match at Mitchell on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 2:30 p.m.

October. 13: Shoreham-Wading River 3, Mattituck/Southold/Greenport 2
MSG lost 3-2 to Shoreham-Wading River on Friday, October 13th, unable to hold on to its lead and suffered a crushing homecoming loss. Stanton and Casey Szczotka each had a goal and an assist. Dickerson made 10 saves.
October. 17: Mattituck/Southold/Greenport 5, Southampton 2
Cameron Stanton scored his third hat trick of the season and added two assists to power MSG (7-7-1, 7-7-1) to a 5-2 home win over Southampton. (4 wins, 11 losses, 1 draw, 4 wins, 4 losses). (9-0), ending the League III regular season with a victory. Stanton ranks third on Suffolk’s scoring list with 18 goals. She also recorded eight assists. Casey Szczotka and Rose Lopez added goals, while Madison Smith, Lecce McKenna and Kate Mellinger helped set up the goals. Haley Dickerson (six saves) and Alexa Piraino shared goaltending responsibilities.

On Wednesday, Oct. 11, the Porters (2-11, 2-11) defeated Southampton (1-12, 1-11) 1-0 in Division III, recording their second win of the season. Greenport dropped a 1-0 decision at home to Comsewogue (2-12, 2-11) and then lost to Sayville (8-7, 7-7) on October 16. Greenport will compete in the Class C finals at Newfield HS. At the conference championship held at Spring Lake Golf Club on Monday, Oct. 16, Mattituck’s Andrew McKenzie shot an 82 to advance to the county final and state qualifier. Mattituck (7-3, 7-3) finished second behind Riverhead (10-0, 10). -0) In League VIII. The top 24 teams in the county will begin competing for the team championship on Thursday, October 26th. The competition continues with the second round on Monday, October 30th, the quarter-finals on Thursday, November 2nd, and the semi-finals and finals on Thursday, November 2nd. Monday, November 6th.
