His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Under-Secretary of Cabinet Affairs and Vice-Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), is pleased to welcome His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He expressed his heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister spoke about the Kingdom of Bahrain’s extraordinary and historic achievements at the 19th Asian Games, which were held recently in Hangzhou, China.
Bahrain won a total of 20 medals, including 12 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze, securing 9th place out of 45 participating countries and securing the top spot in the Arab world. This was a historic milestone for sports in Bahrain.
His Highness Sheikh Isa also invited His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Sheikh Khalid bin First Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth.・He expressed his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Hamad Al Khalifa. The Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the BOC praised Bahrain’s remarkable achievements on the Asian stage.
His Highness Sheikh Isa expressed his deep gratitude to His Majesty the King, who is a major supporter of sports in Saudi Arabia.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the continued encouragement of sports and athletes by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, stressing that these achievements are in line with the vision and efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser to improve sports in Bahrain.
The positive impact of these efforts is evident in the many prestigious achievements of our athletes at all levels.
These achievements are also an example of His Highness Sheikh Khalid’s strategy in developing the sports sector and his active involvement in developing the enthusiasm of the national team players, resulting in outstanding results.
