The Honda E-clutch uses electronic control technology to instantly achieve optimal clutch control in situations where driving force changes, such as starting, shifting, and stopping, resulting in more natural and smooth starting, shifting, and stopping. Better than manual clutch operation by the rider.
In order to meet the wide range of requests from riders, even if the clutch is electronically controlled, it is still possible to operate the clutch by squeezing the clutch lever in the same way as a regular manual bike.
This creates a system that allows more riders with diverse riding experience and skills to focus on the fun of riding more comfortably.
Honda plans to apply the Honda E-Clutch to FUN motorcycle models in the future, as this lightweight and compact system can be installed without major changes to the existing engine layout.
