CUREC’s new leadership plans to partner with industry to provide a first-class experience for students.
Following a comprehensive national search, Leeds School of Business is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Gibson as the next Sherman R. Miller Executive Director of the CU Real Estate Center. She plans to join CUREC and the Leeds community in January 2024.
Mr. Gibson, who holds a degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and an MBA from Portland State University, has served as director of the Portland State University Real Estate Center for nearly 20 years. She brings extensive experience leading real estate centers where faculty, students, community partners, industry leaders, and employers intersect. Prior to her work in higher education, Gibson served as vice president of underwriting at PNC Bank.

“I have admired the UW Boulder Real Estate Center from afar for years,” Gibson said. “Our real estate program has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, and we look forward to building innovative industry partnerships to educate the next generation of real estate professionals.”

I look forward to his continued outstanding contributions in this area.”
Gibson notes that industry partnerships are key to the center’s work to create awareness, education and pathways for students to pursue careers in commercial real estate. She will work together to build an even stronger real estate student experience at Leeds.
