The Ministry of Education has completed the final touches on science textbooks for seven classes.
DHARAMSHALA: The Ministry of Education of the Central Tibetan Government has decided from October 3 to 7, 2023 to finalize the draft of the latest version of the science textbook for class 7 based on the middle school curriculum developed on the basic principles. A 5-day conference was held. Educational policy for Tibetans in exile.
Tenzin Pema, Joint Secretary of the Education Council Secretary-General, explained the need to translate modern science into Tibetan language, highlighting the mission of the Textbook Review Committee.
During the five-day meeting, the science textbook editors of the Council of Education undertook the translation of the science textbooks finalized by the CBSE. The Textbook Review Committee finalized Chapter 6 after thorough discussion.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Dorje Wangdue, Science and Mathematics Education Officer. Mr. Gedung Dongyoe, Chairman of the Textbook Division of the Education Council. Chakthar Bum, Science Textbook Editor. Upper TCV science teacher Tenzin Ngodup and his Lundup Namgyal. Nima Tsering, science teacher at TCV Suja; Chojin Ramo, science teacher at TCV Seraqui. Ven. Tenzin Choedong, principal of Petoen Primary School. and Sonam Bhuti and Tashi Tsering, science teachers at Tibet Homes School, Mussoorie.
The Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) funded the conference.
