His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday reaffirmed Bahrain’s firm commitment to establishing a two-state solution for the Palestinian people, calling it an important guarantee of lasting peace and stability in the region. It was deemed that there was.
Speaking at the Cairo Peace Summit chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, King Hamad emphasized that lasting peace in the Middle East depends on protecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
“There will be no stability in the Middle East unless we secure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people,” King warned.
King Hamad stressed that the two-state solution is a genuine path towards coexistence between Palestinians and Israelis and holds the promise of a just, inclusive and sustainable regional peace.
The declaration largely follows a donation campaign launched by Bahrain, with King Hamad donating $8.5 million and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, donating BD500,000. did.
Furthermore, King Hamad affirmed Bahrain’s unwavering support for the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent and sovereign state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Prime Minister emphasized the dire situation facing the Palestinian people and the urgent need to address the humanitarian crisis through continued diplomatic efforts involving regional and international stakeholders.
“The suffering of the Palestinian people and the dire conditions they are experiencing highlight the urgent need to stem this dangerous crisis and its humanitarian impact,” Dr. King said.
Dr. King further emphasized the need to de-escalate the situation, halt military operations, and ensure the release of all prisoners of war, hostages, and detainees.
