The Bahrain Labor Fund (Tamkeen) will support Bahraini start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) wishing to participate in the Gitex Global Exhibition, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from October 16th to 20th.
Tamkeen, in partnership with Bahrain Economic Development Board, Export Bahrain, and ILA Bank, will sponsor Bahrain’s pavilion at Gitex Global 2023, which will be attended by 30 small and medium-sized Bahraini technology companies in the pavilion.
Additionally, Tamkeen will support the participation of promising technology startups in the Expand North Star exhibition. Scheduled to be held in Dubai Harbor from October 15th to 18th in collaboration with Gitex Global, it is one of the largest global events for startups organized by Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.
265 Bahraini companies
Maha Abdulhamed Mofiz, CEO of Tamkeen, said: “Over the past eight years, Tamkeen has facilitated the participation of 265 Bahraini companies in Gitex Global, and we are delighted to continue this support. The presence of local businesses at this exhibition strengthens Bahrain’s position.” It is the GCC’s leading technology and innovation hub, providing opportunities to engage with international industry players, exchange knowledge and build partnerships.

Startup PLAYBOOK
So far at Gitex, Bahraini entrepreneurs have achieved remarkable success, especially in the competitions held alongside the exhibition. Notably, Bahraini startup PLAYBOOK secured the top spot in the women’s category of her Supernova Challenge last year.
PLAYBOOK is a digital platform designed to empower women in leadership roles by offering a diverse digital academy led by influential and inspiring women.
To date, many institutions in Bahrain have forged fruitful agreements and partnerships that have contributed to its growth both locally and regionally.
