With one week left until the 25th General Assembly, leaders from across sectors joined international organizations to praise UNWTO’s role in guiding tourism from crisis to recovery and transformation.
The 25th General Assembly (October 18-19) will bring together high-level representatives and ministers from more than 150 countries in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Promoting the UNWTO work program
The General Assembly will discuss and approve the UNWTO work program. UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili will also present a report to all Member States, highlighting how core priorities have progressed over the past two years, with a particular focus on tourism investment, education and innovation.
Within the framework of the General Assembly, UNWTO will convene some of the key statutory bodies and bring together sector leaders to organize thematic events focusing on the sector’s current key priorities.
