A video of a child riding a plane wearing a costume with flashing lights has been shared online. This dress with flashing lights has divided opinions among netizens. Some people found the playful attire amusing, but not many thought it was humorous. Some emphasize that flash from dresses can be harmful for epilepsy patients.
The video was originally posted on TikTok and later on Instagram. This was shared on a page called “Passenger Shaming”. Instagram pages are filled with videos of the unusual, bizarre, and sometimes disgusting behavior of passengers traveling by plane.
The video, highlighting children’s costumes, was posted with the simple caption: “WWYD?” [What would you do]” The video opens and shows the interior of a plane full of passengers. Immediately, you will see flashing beams of light inside the cabin. As the camera pans to the other side, the reason behind it becomes clear. The light comes from the white colored costume that the child is wearing. The video ends with the costume’s blue, pink, orange, and green lights constantly flashing.

This video was posted a few months ago. Since then, it has garnered nearly 1 million views. A number of comments have also been accumulated on the share. While some said the video captured a light-hearted moment, others held back and expressed the opposite.
Here’s what people wrote when expressing their opinions about this video:
“Kids are kids, so let them enjoy the flight. People who talk loudly or have reading lights on are more irritating. Reading lights at night really ruins the mood.” shared an Instagram user. “It’s a cute thing in theory, but it’s a big trigger for people with epilepsy. Mom of an epileptic here. Seizures are not something to mess with,” another added.
“I wouldn’t do anything. Kids are kids, happy and not fussy. A win is a win,” a third player added. A fourth person wrote: “Such inconsiderate parents.” I repeat the question asked in the video’s caption – what would you do?
