A Boston runner participating in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon stopped at mile 21 to save a kitten. About eight miles from the finish line, Sarah Bohan, who was running at a pace that would break her marathon record, spotted the frightened kitten and rescued it.
PAWS Chicago, an organization that helps pets find homes, shared the heartwarming incident on Instagram.
The page says, “Sarah Bohan, a Boston resident and TEAM PAWS runner, truly took our mission to heart when she found and rescued a stray kitten along her route! She ran 21 miles. She was running at a personal record pace until then, but when she saw a thin, furry and frightened kitten, she wrote: “A ball of fluff under a bridge.” (Also read: Roadside A man rescues a crying cat.
